Make your love story official with a legal marriage in Sri Lanka. This package includes everything necessary to complete your civil wedding process smoothly and stress-free.

What’s Included

  • Pre-Wedding Meeting
    Personalized consultation with your wedding planner after your arrival in Sri Lanka. The planner will visit your hotel to finalize all wedding details.
  • Document Assistance
    Accompanied submission of all legal documents to the local registrar.
  • Legal Ceremony
    Conducted by a licensed officiant, either on the beach or in a garden setting.
  • Marriage Certificate
    Official Sri Lankan marriage certificate
    English translation
    Legalization by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Sri Lanka)
  • Full Support
    All registration and legalization fees included
    Transportation for the wedding planner and registrar on your wedding day

Required Documents

  • If this is your first marriage:
    1. Birth certificates (with English translation & notarization if not originally in English)
    2. Foreign passports
    3. Affidavit of non-marriage (notarized + translated into English)
    4. Any name/surname change documents (notarized + translated into English)
    5. Photocopies of passports (2 copies)
    6. Photocopy of Sri Lankan visa stamp (done upon arrival)
    If this is not your first marriage, additionally:
    • Divorce decree or death certificate of former spouse
      (Notarized + translated into English if needed)


    Important:     All documents (except passports) must be translated into English and notarized.
    Bring originals + photocopies with you to Sri Lanka.

Timeline & Requirements:

  • Send scanned documents 1–2 weeks before the wedding date
  • Bring all original documents with you to Sri Lanka
  • Documents must be issued within 3 months of the wedding
  • You must be over 18 years old
  • Arrive at least 4 days before the wedding to submit the marriage application

After the Wedding

  • The legalized English certificate will be ready in 15–30 days
  • If possible, it will be handed over before your departure. Otherwise, it will be sent via express mail.
  • Once received, you must translate and legalize the certificate in your home country (via your Foreign Ministry, Legalization Office, or Sri Lankan Embassy).

For other locations, a travel fee may apply for the wedding planner.
